Believe
Dare to believe! In Mark 9 is the story of a man who brought his son to Jesus’ disciples to be delivered. They were unable to help the man. Then a demonic spirit threw the boy on the ground in a fit right as Jesus showed up on the scene. Jesus said, “Bring him to Me.” The man asked, “If You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us” (Mark 9:22). How many times have you prayed this way, “Lord, if you can do anything.” Deep down in your heart is that little seed of doubt, “if.” We’re often like this father with his son. We may look at our circumstances, and question if our prayers are working when it seems that things are getting worse instead of better.
